Isle of Wight College

The Isle of Wight College is an FE college with an estate of just under 30,000m2, located centrally on the island in the principal town of Newport together with a dedicated Centre of Excellence for Composites, Advanced Manufacturing and Marine (CECAMM) located in Whippingham, near East Cowes.

PMc worked with the College to support the delivery of CECAMM in 2015 to 2017 and subsequently, in 2022 began to deliver a range of refurbishment projects including:

• A new Business Centre on the main campus funded by the Skills Development Fund in 2022;
• T Level Engineering Refurbishment at CECAMM in 2022;
• T Level Early Years and Childcare on the main campus in 2022;
• T Level Health and Social Care – 2022;
• T Level Digital on the main campus in 2022;
• T Level Business on the main campus in 2022;
• T Level Hair & Beauty on the main campus – 2023;
• T Level Construction (Plumbing) on the main campus – 2024;
• South Coast Institute of Technology Digital Learning Space – 2023/24; 
• South Coast Institute of Technology Engineering Lab at CECAMM – 2024; and,
• T Level Design and Creative – 2024.

PMc are also supporting the College as Client Advisor on the delivery of their new DfE funded building on the main campus via the Further Education Capital Transformation Fund.  This project – will deliver circa 4,000 m² of new build dedicated spaces to support hospitality & catering, sport & uniformed services, travel and tourism as well as College dining, student hub and reception.  This project is due to start on site in 2024 and complete in 2026.
